Yurakucho Hirado Shokan is the specialty shop for Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture, located in the Ginza/Yurakucho area of Tokyo. As befits the name, which literally means “a trading house for Hirado City in Yurakucho,” the store interior has been renovated into a Netherlands-style trading house, and the shop now stocks a substantial range of products that can be bought at reasonable prices, such as fresh produce direct from Hirado, or sets of kamaboko (cured seafood). The casdoce recommended by the shop are a Portuguese sweet passed down in Hirado, which was the first overseas trading port in Japan.
