Hyuga Hyottoko Mask Summer Festival - Miyazaki

The twisted faces of hyottoko masks, okame women, and foxes dance to the jaunty rhythms of gongs and taiko drums. The festival prays for a rich harvest for the region and business prosperity, and the hilarious dances cause many of the spectators to burst out laughing.
