The Marugame Oshiro Matsuri was first held in 1950, to commemorate the completion of restoration work on the castle and its designation as an important cultural property. It has continued to be held for over 70 years, becoming Marugame City’s largest festival. It is held every year during the Golden Week holiday period in May, in the area around Marugame Castle.
The program is packed with exciting events, including stage events and the Mande Gangan Grand Parade.
