This festival collects and puts on display used dolls that homes across Japan no longer put out for decoration, after holding a memorial service for them.
Starting with an eight-meter high, 100-stepped doll stage, more than 30 thousand dolls are beautifully displayed.
Also, the dolls were exhibited at Japan House during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Games to great success, with long lines of tourists waiting to see the display.
