Tomonoura, Fukuyama, Sea Bream Net-fishing - Hiroshima

You can watch a traditional fishing method dating back 400 years, known as Tomonoura Tai Shibari net fishing, where schools of sea bream are caught in nets, from aboard a viewing boat.
Visitors can also buy the caught fish straight off the boats. This practice was registered as an important intangible folk-cultural property of Fukuyama.
