Hachinohe Enburi - Aomori

In this distinctive folk performing art of the Hachinohe area, dancers called Tayu wear beautiful eboshi headdresses resembling a horse’s head, and perform a dance in which they widely swing their heads to pray for a good harvest.
The dance expresses actions related to rice cultivation, and the cute blessing by the children while the Tayu are dancing is particularly entertaining for the audience.
