There are approximately 1,500 cherry trees in the park, which has long been called as having the best cherry blossoms in the country. It has also been chosen as one of Japan’s top 100 cherry blossom viewing sites. The best time to visit is in the middle of April, and more than 250,000 tourists visit Takato Castle Ruins Park when the cherry blossoms turn it pink.
